Since Bellsouth has merged with AT&T, you now use the AT&T Webmail portal to access your Bellsouth Webmail message. The way your password can be changed depends on whether you remember your current password.
Change your password:
If you know your current password, log in with the AT&T Log In page (Resources Link). Choose “My Profile” and scroll to Set Personal Password. Enter your current password in the current password field and enter your new password and confirm it. in the fields provided. To finish changing your password, click “Save Changes.”
Your password reset:
You need to reset your password before you can select a new password. In the User ID box enter your complete Bellsouth email address on the AT&T Log In page (link in Resources). Enter your last name, click “Continue,” and select AT&T for password retrieval. You can request a temporary password or answer a number of security questions to authenticate your identity. You will be prompted to select a new password once you have verified your identity.
Retrieving your emails from Bellsouth:
When you first log in to AT&T Webmail, an error message is sent to you saying your login has failed. In fact, your login did not fail. Instead, AT&T retrieves and imports your messages into your new AT&T account. Wait five minutes at least and then register again to view your messages from Bellsouth.
