What settings do I need to setup my Windstream email? (MILESTONE X2)
How can I configure my Windstream email?
For legate Windstream customers there are other domains but the settings are the same as those listed below. For example (firstname.lastname@example.org has become email@example.com), but still you can get e-mail from the @alltel.net account address because now it is technically all Windstream.
Below is a list of domain names merged with Windstream:

Follow the instructions below to set up emails on your MILESTONE X2 once your device is already in place. When you add an email account in the original startup of your phone, skip from the Setup Accounts menu (Step #3) for the same menu.
Open the application tray and pick My accounts.
Open the application cabinet.
Choose Add Account.
You will find several other social network icons in the Set-Up Accounts menu.
Choose the Email icon.
Enter your complete email address, including the “@windstream.net” domain name in any event.
Tap Next. If the account has been set up properly, the device will connect to your email server and state “Success!”
You can be requested to fill in the manual configuration during contact unless your email provider is acknowledged, your email address / password is inaccurate or your email supplier has mobile phone configuration constraints. Please check with your email supplier for details. To finish a manual setting, you will need your password, login name, POP3 or IMAP port and server settings. If this data is prepared, proceed to the next manual setup section.
If manual configuration is requested, tap Manual setup. You can also manually setup your email address and password by unchecking Automatically set up your account after you entered it.
Tap General Settings, verify all General Settings areas in which data is accurate. Make any adjustments you need and then choose OK to exit this menu.
Tap Incoming Server.
Choose the mail server POP.
Enter the name of the server: pop.windstream.net.
Uncheck both Use secure link and Check certificate (after installation, you may need to submit a sample mail to verify these configurations)
Enter Port #110 for your email provider.
Enter / Confirm your username, generally finish with the domain name ie: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Enter / Confirm your password for your email.
Select the OK server.
SMTP server entry: smtp.windstream.net.
Secure usage check, verify certificate check. (After set-up, you may need to submit a test mail to verify these configurations)
Enter Port #587.
Enter or confirm your username (generally full domain name ie email@example.com email address)
Enter or confirm your Password email account, if it is already displayed.
Tap Other Parameters.
Select time messages are maintained on the phone. Tap on OK Tap on OK again to send your email configuration (1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, 2 months, NEVER delete messages).
Your account is now in place. Please send and receive an email to test.
To send / receive email, you may need to modify the security settings on the account.
